Oh how I enjoy making felt food. I've made many variations over the years. 

Handmade felt food is a type of play food that is made from felt. Felt is a type of fabric that is made from wool that has been matted together. It is a durable and long-lasting fabric that is perfect for making play food. Handmade felt food is often more realistic than mass-produced plastic play food. It can be made to look like any type of food, from fruits and vegetables to meats and desserts. The details of the food, such as seeds on a strawberry or sprinkles on a cupcake, can be added using embroidery thread or other embellishments. Felt food is stuffed with quilt batting or stuffing to give it a more realistic texture and weight. I typically hand stitch my pieces so you definitely get that handmade look and feel. You might not find these fine details with other play food products.

Handmade felt food is also often more durable than plastic play food and is less likely to break or tear, making it a better choice for young children. It can also be more environmentally friendly being made with eco-fi felt that is made with recycled plastic. 

Felt food is a fun way to help children learn about different foods and how they look. It's a great way to keep children entertained and using their imaginations, without screen time.

How to make your own quiet activity book

Making a quiet activity book using felt can be a fun and engaging project for both children and adults. Here are the steps to create a basic quiet activity book using felt: Gather materials: You will need felt sheets in different colors, scissors, a ruler, a pen or marker, and a variety of decorations such as buttons, snaps, and Velcro. Maybe even consider some scraps of fur or leather or other materials for texture. Plan the pages: Decide how many pages you want the book to have and what activities you want to include. Some ideas for quiet activities could be matching shapes, counting games, or even a felt version of tic-tac-toe.
